Jubilee centre reading

Last week, when researching the election, I read some more materials from the Jubilee Centre after John Hayward put up there the text of the sermon I mentioned last week (all parts now available).

I was a bit surprised how much good stuff was there. In particular, some of their resources are more helpful and clear than any others I have come across before on some of the difficult issues in law-making. I especially appreciated Consent versus Community: what basis for sexual offences? (and indeed as an aside I may comment later on some contrasts I had not spotted before between Leviticus and the work of philosophers like Hofstadter).

It is too late now to think through many of the thorny issues of action in society before Thursday, but I recommend the materials on the site to be certainly worth bookmarking and coming back to in the summer.
